Tess is a costume designer for the creative industries, based in Sydney. She has cultivated a distinctive approach that blends queer thinking, character development, and experimentation. Having a background in fashion design and branding serves as a strong interdisciplinary foundation to her costume work.

She has designed costumes for both short and feature films, and has also worked on mainstream Australian and international projects. Torrisi’s work includes Steve Anthopoulos’ Voice Activated, James Elazzi’s YANNIS, 2C Pictures’ The Big Dog, and Universal’s The Fall Guy.

Tess enjoys the psychology behind costume and leaving Easter eggs for the audience to collect. This is achieved through her close relationship building with the creative team and the costume professionals she is working with.

Over the years, Tess has seamlessly navigated the realms of TV, film, theatre and print, building a wealth of experience across varying roles. She looks forward to carving out a rich and varied costume career.
